Description |
follicular center cell lymphoma |
Notes |
Follicular lymphoma, mesenteric lymph node and intestine (Peyer?s patches). The mesenteric lymph node and intestinal Peyer?s patches are enlarged. The normal structures cannot be seen. The tissues are infiltrated by neoplastic lymphoma cells in various degrees of differentiation. The same mixture of lymphoid cells in 951-spleen can be seen including centroblasts, cleaved centrocytes and small lymphocytes (centrocytes). Mitotic figures are seen. Large areas of tumor cell necrosis is seen. In one section, there is a mass of neutrophils forming an abscess. The lymphoma cells are CD45R+ and non-neoplastic infiltrating small lymphocytes are CD3+. No slide for CD3 and CD45R staining is presented, pattern is identical as shown for Case # 990000951-5 shown in pathology record 6649. |
