Description |
lymphoblastic lymphoma |
Notes |
Lymphoblastic lymphoma, T-cell, spleen and liver. There is diffuse infiltration of lymphoblasts into the splenic white and red pulp and liver. The neoplastic lymphoblasts have roundish nuclei with prominent nucleoli and sparse cytoplasm. Mitotic figures are numerous. The starry sky effect is seen composed of tangible-body macrophages. Lymphoma cells are CD3+. The lymphoma probably arose from the thymus and metastasized to these and other tissues. |
