The neoplasm is made of closely-packed trabeculae supported by a scant amount of fibrovascular stroma. Neoplastic cells are plump to fusiform, with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of amphophilic (at the periphery of the trabeculae) to acidophilic (at the center of the trabeculae) cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, oval, medium-sized and slightly hyperchromatic. |
