Pathology Image Detail

Caption

This is a densely cellular neoplasm composed of closely-packed tubules and glands supported by a scant amount of fibrovascular stroma. Some tubules are mildly distended by strongly acidophilic hyaline droplets (interpreted as degenerated and desquamated neoplastic cells). Neoplastic cells are polygonal to cuboidal, with indistinct cell borders and a small to moderate amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. Their nucleus is central, medium-sized and round.
