Colon: the mucosa of the colon is focally thickened by a ? 2.5 mm wide sessile mass. The submucosa is not invaded by neoplastic cells. This mass is composed of contoured and anastomosed glands lined by a one cell-thick columnar epithelium supported by a moderate amount of fibrovascular stroma with a mild to moderate lymphocytic and plasmacytic infiltration. The surface of the mass is eroded. |
