Subcutaneous mass (portion): in this portion of the neoplasm, the stroma is hyalinized and more abundant, and neoplastic cells are larger and have an histiocytic phenotype. Such changes are common in malignant peripheral nerve sheet tumors with a long clinical course or at the vicinity of areas of necrosis.
