Neoplastic cells are small, oat-shaped, with distinct cell borders and a moderate amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, oval, occasionally with a slightly contoured nuclear membrane, medium-size, slightly hypochromatic, with a stippled chromatin and 1-3 small basophilic nucleoli. Anisokaryosis is moderate. Anisocytosis is mild. Mitoses are numerous. |
