Pericardial adipose tissue: the pericardial adipose tissue at the base of the heart is infiltrated by loosely-packed sheets of neoplastic histiocytes. Neoplastic cells are large, histiocytoid, with ill-defined cell borders and a moderate amount of amorphous acidophilic cytoplasm. They have 1-25 nuclei. Nuclei are oval, medium-sized, often eccentric, and normochromatic to hypochromatic. Anisokaryosis is mild. Anisocytosis is marked. Mitoses are not detected in this photomicrograph. |
