Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Subcutis: the neoplasm is composed of tightly packed interwoven and streaming bundles supported by a small amount of fibrovascular stroma. A small lymphoid infiltrate is present at the center of this photomicrograph. Neoplastic cells are fusiform to histiocytoid, with distinct cell borders and a moderate amount of strongly acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, oval, medium-sized and hyperchromatic. Anisocytosis and anisokaryosis, in most fields, are mild to moderate. Mitoses are rare.
