Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Teratoma: in this area, the neoplasm is predominantly composed of striate skeletal muscles, although osseous tissues (B) and epidermal structures (E) are present. The epidermal structure is composed of a small cyst centered on hair shafts and cornified debris surrounded by a squamous epithelium. Numerous radiating hair follicles open into this cyst. A small cluster of tubular glands (arrowhead) is entrapped between two layers of skeletal muscle fibers.
