Mammary gland: neoplastic papillae are lined by a one cell-thick columnar epithelium where neoplastic cells often pile-up disorderly. They are supported by a small amount of loose fibrovascular stroma. Neoplastic cells are columnar, medium-sized, with indistinct cell borders, and a small amount of acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is medium-sized, oval, oriented in the long axis of the neoplastic cell, normochromatic, with a clumped chromatin, and a small basophilic nucleolus. Anisocytosis and anisokaryosis are mild. Mitotic index is high. |
