Glandular adenoma (small): cells lining neoplastic glands are cuboidal, with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of strongly amphophilic cytoplasm that often contains proteinaceous droplets (arrow) or small lipid vacuoles. The nucleus is central, round, medium-sized and normochromatic. Anisocytosis and anisokaryosis are mild. A moderate number of mitoses (arrowheads) is present. |
