Hyperplastic alveolar nodule (early stage): the lobular architecture of the mammary gland is enhanced. Alveoli and intra-lobular ducts are lined by a one cell-thick cuboidal epithelium and are often filled with a moderate amount of proteinaceous material. There is mild interstitial fibrosis and lymphoplasmacytic inflammation. There is no evidence of atypia.
