Solid mammary adenocarcinoma: the neoplasm is composed of two types of neoplastic cells. First, at the periphery of the neoplasm, there are small ill-defined clusters of large neoplastic cells with a pale cytoplasm and an hypochromatic nucleus. Second, accounting for most of the neoplasm, there are medium-sized polygonal cells with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of acidophilic cytoplasm. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild. Neoplastic cells occasionally form inconspicuous secondary lumens (arrowhead). |
