Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Mammary gland: the mammary gland is effaced by a nodular, partly encapsulated, locally invasive, densely cellular neoplasm. This neoplasm is composed of solid areas with central cavitation (comedo pattern; towards the center). Areas suggestive of the early stages of epithelial to mesenchymal transition are present at the periphery of the neoplasm (arrowhead).
