Caption

Peripheral portions of the neoplasm (trabecular area): neoplastic cells form trabeculae, cords and occasionally glands with an inconspicuous lumen (*) separated by a small to moderate amount of fibrovascular stroma. Neoplastic cells are polygonal, with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, round to oval, slightly hypochromatic, with a stippled chromatin and 1-3 large nuclei. Anisokaryosis is moderate. Anisocytosis is mild. Numerous neoplastic cells undergo single cell necrosis. A few mitoses are present.
