Adenosquamous carcinoma: this photomicrograph illustrates the area of transition between the neoplasm and the interlobular duct (*). There is prominent squamous metaplasia in the interlobular duct. Cornification is abrupt and results into the formation of large rafts of "ghost" epithelial cells.
