Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Mammary adenocarcinoma: this photomicrograph illustrates an area of ductal differentiation. Neoplastic cells form a two cell-thick epithelium. Luminal cells are cuboidal. Basal cells are either attenuated with a morphology reminiscent of myoepithelial cells, or they are cuboidal. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild. Mitoses are rare.
