Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Mammary gland: there is prominent increased lobulation of the mammary gland. There is marked ectasia of the interlobular ducts that are filled with a proteinaceous fluid. Acini and intralobular ducts connecting to the cystic interlobular ducts are hyperplastic and there is moderate interstitial fibrosis. The mammary gland recapitulates the morphology of the pubertal mammary gland, with the formation of fronds that rapidly differentiate into ducts.
