Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Mammary adenocarcinoma: in the peripheral portions of the neoplasm, neoplastic cells form small glands supported by a scant amount of fibrovascular stroma. Neoplastic cells are cuboidal to low columnar, occasionally polygonal, with distinct cell borders and a moderate amount of strongly amphophilic cytoplasm that occasionally contains a few small lipid vacuoles. The nucleus is central, oval, medium-sized and generally hyperchromatic. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild. A few mitoses (arrowheads) are detected.
