Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Solid mammary adenocarcinoma: the neoplasm is composed of closely-packed small polygonal cells that form solid areas supported by a scant amount of loose fibrovascular stroma. Many blood vessels within the stroma are moderately ectatic. Neoplastic cells are medium-sized to small, with indistinct cell borders and a small to moderate amount of strongly acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, oval, medium-sized and hyperchromatic anisocytosis and anisokaryosis are mild.
