Papillary adenoma: the neoplasm in this area is composed of glands supported by a scant amount . Neoplastic cells are cuboidal to polygonal, with indistinct cell borders and a small to moderate amount of acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus tends to be basal, oval, and medium-sized. There is, at the center of the photomicrograph, an area where neoplastic cells are larger, have a paler cytoplasm, a larger and paler nucleus, and a higher mitotic rate than in the rest of the neoplasm (early transition into a carcinoma). |
