Mammary gland, type P tumor (periphery of the neoplasm in a frond): neoplastic cells are small, polygonal to cuboidal, with ill-defined cell borders and a small amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is small, oval, slightly hypochromatic, with a finely stippled chromatin and 1-5 small to medium-size basophilic nucleoli. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild. Numerous mitoses are present. Neoplastic cells occasionally form lumens (arrows). |
