Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Solid/comedo mammary adenocarcinoma: the peripheral portions of the neoplasm are composed of cords and trabeculae separated by a small amount of loose fibrobvascular stroma. Neoplastic cells are medium-size, polygonal, with indistinct cell borders and a small to moderate amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, round to oval, hypochromatic, with a medium-size central basophilic nucleolus. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are mild. Mitoses are numerous. Numerous neoplastic cells undergo single cell necrosis.
