Caption

Solid/comedo mammary carcinoma: the neoplasm is composed of thick trabeculae with moderate central necrosis separated by a small amount of loose fibrovascular stroma with dilated vascular spaces. Neoplastic cells are medium-size, polygonal, with indistinct cell borders and a moderate amount of amphophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is central, oval, hypochromatic, with a coarsely clumped chromatin and 1-3 medium-size to large basophilic nucleoli. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are moderate. Mitoses are numerous.
