Glandular mammary adenocarcinoma: as exemplified in this photomicrograph, mammary tumors of mice transgenic for Myc, even if they predominantly have a glandular pattern, also often comprise solid areas with prominent central cavitation (*). Also, this photomicrograph represents the periphery of the neoplasm in an area where neoplastic cells form thin cords and are surrounded by a stroma that is more fibrous than in the rest of the neoplasm. This feature is common in mammary tumors arising in mice transgenic for Myc. |
