Haired skin: the neoplasm is composed of tortuous, interconnected, blood-filled vascular spaces separated by a small amount of fibrovascular stroma. Cells lining vascular spaces are large, with indistinct cell borders and with a moderate to large amount of pale acidophilic cytoplasm. The nucleus is large, central, oval, with a contoured nuclear membrane, occasionally folded, hypochromatic, with a delicately stippled chromatin and 2-4 small basophilic nucleoli. Anisokaryosis and anisocytosis are prominent. Mitotic figures are numerous and are often asymmetrical. |
