Lung: this higher magnification shows that the tumor is predominantly located in the lumen of an artery and is invading the adjacent pulmonary parenchyma. There is a small area of coagulation necrosis and cavitation at the center of the embolus and a mild diffuse lymphocytic infiltration associated with the neoplasm.
