Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Mammary gland: there are numerous areas of cornification which appear as concentric whirls of a strongly acidophilic material. The cytoplasm of a few cells in these areas of cornification contain keratohyalin granules (arrowhead). There is a mild to moderate lymphocytic and plasmacytic infiltrate (L) at the periphery of the tumor. Cytological details are poor because the tissue was fixed in ethanol.
