This is the liver from a 548 day old MRL/MpJ male mouse. There is a raised mass on the liver which superficially looks relatively normal. This is a hepatoma, a benign neoplasm of the liver parenchyma. Other nodules are present and can be seen as relatively round areas of growing liver parenchyma compressing the adjacent normal parenchyma. 2.5x magnification.
