Mammary gland: the mammary gland contains numerous areas of lobular hyperplasia, as well as one macrocyst (*). Areas of lobular hyperplasia appear as mammary lobules in which acini have proliferated and form small nodular aggregates. Macrocysts are lined by a one to two cells-thick epithelium. In the areas where the epithelium lining macrocysts is two cells-thick, the basal layer shows myoepithelial differentiation. |
