Mammary gland: lobular hyperplasia is characterized by the juxtaposition of mammary acini variably distended by inspissated proteinaceous material. Epithelial cells lack atypia but often contain variably sized lipid and proteinaceous droplets. A variable lymphocytic and histiocytic infiltrate may be present in some hyperplastic lobules (exemplified on this photomicrograph).Some macrophages contains a brown granular pigment. |
