Mammary gland, type P tumor: neoplastic cells are arranged in fronds separated by a moderate amount of loose fibrovascular stroma. Secondary lumens (*) and an area of squamous metaplasia (arrowhead) are present at the center of this frond. A basal layer of cells that are arranged in a gravestone pattern and that generally label for myoepithelial markers surround the frond. The fronds resemble terminal end buds of the pubertal mammary gland. |
