Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Solid mammary carcinoma: a moderate number of neoplastic cells label strongly for keratin 5. Most of these keratin 5-positive cells are suprabasal, although some have a myoepithelial phenotype (arrowheads). A few neoplastic cells scattered in the areas of epithelial to mesenchymal transition (*) also show strong cytoplasmic labeling for keratin 5.
