Pathology Image Detail

Caption

This is the popliteal lymph node from a 639 day old FVB/NJ male mouse. Note the light blue cells adjacent to and within the lymph node. These are most likely mast cells. A toluidine blue stain is needed to confirm this diagnosis but these are very similar to other small nodules found in other FVB/NJ mice of the same age that were confirmed to be mast cell tumors. Image is from the upper left-center portion of the 10x image.
