This is the stomach from a 636 day old C57BL/10J female mouse. This is the junction between the glandular and squamous portions of the mouse stomach. The raised papillary structure is the limiting ridge. Both the squamous and glandular epithelium is moderately hyperplastic. Both contain bright eosinophilic crystals that are usually Ym1 or Ym2 (chitinase) proteins.
