This is an ovary from a 633 day old female RIIIS/J mouse. The ovarian stroma has been completely effaced by cysts formed from the invading surface epithelium creating an ovarian adenoma. Concurrently there is proliferation of blood filled vessels. This latter change may be an hemangioma or telangeictasia. This image is a higher magnification of the lower central portion of the 20x image. |
