This is the spleen from a 669 day old female NOD.B10/SnH2bJ mouse. There are cavernous spaces of various sizes lined by endothelial cells. Red blood cells are present within these cavernous spaces. There is an organizing thrombus, the brightly eosinophilic mass with laminations, present within one of these vascular spaces, a common finding in hemangiomas. |
