Description	thyroid gland adenoma
Age at Necropsy	599 days
Notes	This is the thyroid gland from a 599 day old female SWR/J mouse. The trachea is located as the cartilage bound open space to the left. No normal thyroid gland acini are present. Instead, there is a large circumscribed mass that consists of follicles of various sizes many of which contain colloid. There is a mixed, mostly neutrophilic infiltrate as well as fibrosis between follicles (pink material).
