This is the remants of the ovary from a 713 day old female C57BLKS/J mouse. Within the cyst-like structure is a papillary adenoma mixture of stromal cells and lining epithelium. While it is in the ovary the stroma appear to be more similar to those found in the uterus. Immunohistochemistry is needed to better define the cell types of origin of this unusual lesion. |
