Description	harderian gland adenoma
Age at Necropsy	738 days
Notes	This is the eye and harderian gland from a 738 day old female CBA/J mouse. Note the large, well circumscribed glandular mass behind the eye. The upper portion of the gland is relatively normal, albeit the glands are dilated. There are small foci of inflammation near the eye (areas of packed blue cells). The retina is not normal in the eye which is a strain specific abnormality (retinal degeneration due to homozygocity to rd1)
