Description

disseminated sarcoma

Age at Necropsy

701 days

Notes

This is a poorly differentiated sarcoma that arose and disseminated throughout the abdomen and thorax in a 701 day old female FVB/NJ mouse. Nodules in the pancreas initially made this look like a pancreatic islet malignancy but similar nodules were present throughout the abdomen and thorax and the liver was completely effaced by infiltrating tumor cells. There were foci of necrosis within the liver (pink cells representing coagulative necrosis).
