Description |
pancreas neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) |
Age at Necropsy |
10-12 months |
Notes |
Fig. 3E-L show immunohistochemical staining of PNET sections. "Most PNETs expressed glucagon except for a few which did not express any islet hormones (Table 1 and Fig 3E)." "Insulin, pancreatic polypeptide, and somatostatin were sporadically present in most PNETs (Fig 3F-3H)." "In some tumors, insulin or pancreatic polypeptide were focally present but the number of cells in the focus was small (Fig 3K, 3L)." Fig. 3I shows Ki-67 labelling, mitotic figures were rare and labelling index was 1.7%. "Cyclin D1 was only focally positive in a large PNET (Fig 3J)." See original reference. |
