This is the coccygeal vertebrae (tail) from a 785 day old female BALB/cByJ mouse. Note the end of the left vertebrae marrow cavity is replaced by abnormal vasculature with loss of the cortical bone due to local invasion. This is an hemangiomosarcoma. |
