Description

bronchoalveolar adenoma

Age at Necropsy

816 days

Notes

This is the lung from a 816 day old male FVB/NJ mouse. Note the large glandular neoplasm that is compressing the normal lung parenchyma. This is a well differentiated neoplasm that resembles a pulmonary adenoma but it is very large and leaves little functional normal lung in this lobe. Although mitotic figures are present, albeit infrequent, it is most likely an adenocarincoma due to its large size.
