Description |
papilloma |
Notes |
These are a series of papillomas on the muzzle induced by a novel laboratory mouse papillomavirus (MmuPV1). This was a transmission study done in B6.Cg-Foxn1 (nude) mice. The sections are stained with hematoxylin and eosin. Some of these images are shown in Sundberg JP, PLOS ONE 2014; 10.1371/journal.pone.0113582. The same virus preparation (same dilution, lot) was innoculated on the muzzle, tail, and dorsal lumbar skin by scarification. Papillomas developed consistently on the muzzle and tail but trichoblastomas developed on the dorsal lumbar skin. |
