Pathology Image Detail

Caption

Secretory mammary adenocarcinoma with squamous differentiation: this photomicrograph illustrates an area of cornification. Neoplastic cells are arranged in nests, trabeculae and glands. Keratinization is abrupt and produces numerous large rafts of parakeratotic cells. The lumen of a gland (*) is filled with cornified debris intermingled with macrophages and desquamated neoplastic cells. Epithelial neoplastic structures are separated by a large amount of moderately inflamed fibrovascular stroma.
