Lung: the lung is effaced and expanded by a nodular, encapsulated, expensile metatastatic neoplasm that bulges over the pleural surface. More than 90% of this neoplasm is composed of a central core of non-viable cornified debris. A thin rim of viable neoplastic epithelium is present at the periphery of the metastasis.

Notes

The mouse had several tumors in its mammary glands and one macroscopic lung metastasis when it was sacrificed. The mouse had undergone four cycles of gestation/lactation.
