Cerebellar medulloblastoma: neoplastic cells form ill-defined bundles that are vaguuely palissaded around blood vessels. Most neoplastic cells have indistinct cell borders and a small to moderate amount of acidophilic cytoplasm. The ovoid to fusiform nucleus is central, oval, medium-size, normochromatic, with a punctate chromatin and 1-3 small basophilic nucleoli. Mitoses are numerous. A few neoplastic cells (arrowhead) are large, with a large amount of homogeneous acidophilic cytoplasm and a large hypochromatic nucleus with 2-3 large basophilic nucleoli. |
