The architecture of the mammary gland is entirely effaced by a densely cellular neoplasm. This neoplasm is composed of closely-packed acini arranged in cords and separated by a scant amount of fibrovascular stroma. NOTE: The acinar pattern is the most common pattern of mammary adenocarcinomas in C3H mice. These tumors generally are induced by the Mouse Mammary Tumor Virus. |
